Rethink Therapy

Five Counties Children’s Centre is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and youth with physical, developmental and communications needs.

I had the joy of working alongside an amazing group of people who are truly passionate about Five Counties and its goals.

Rethink Therapy is all about… Well, Rethinking Therapy.

When we Rethink Therapy, we see therapy happens everywhere — not just at Five Counties Children’s Centre with a clinician/staff member, but all around us!

Colour Exploration

Storytelling through colour is a large part of this campaign. Much time was spent exploring the many ways in which colour guides the viewer on how to feel. Using the colour teal, we strive to evoke tranquillity, trustworthiness, and a sense of community.

Five Counties Children’s Centre logo colours consist of blue and green. Mixing these colours produces a beautiful teal colour. In the Rethink Therapy campaign logo, the blue and green represent the parents and children’s care workers, while the teal represents the child.

Creating this mini-story brings this logo to life and gives it a meaningful connection to

the centre, parents, and children. Throughout this campaign, teal is used as a reminder to caregivers that therapy is a group effort.

The F-Words

"The F-Words Framework is inspired by decades of research and developed by McMaster University’s CanChild Research Centre. The F-Words work, because they move us from a medical model of “fixing” kids to a strength-based approach that promotes health and development using all aspects of a child’s life." - Five Counties Children's Centre
